Woman dies while celebrating Bathukamma in Nirmal
Two women died during Bathukamma finale celebrations in Nirmal district. Bhagyalakshmi (56) collapsed due to suspected cardiac arrest amid loud music in Nirmal town, while Rushitha (25), a newlywed, died earlier the same day in Bhainsa mandal
Nirmal: In the second such incident, a woman died while celebrating the Bathukamma festival finale in Nirmal district on Sunday.
According to family members and locals, Bhagyalakshmi (56) collapsed while participating in the floral festival celebrations at Bangalpet in Nirmal town. She was immediately shifted to a hospital, where she died while undergoing treatment. Family members said she suffered a sudden cardiac arrest.
They attributed her death to the loud music played by the organisers during the event. Bhagyalakshmi is survived by her husband, two sons and a daughter.
In a similar incident, a 25-year-old newly married woman, Rushitha, died while celebrating the Bathukamma finale at Wanalpad village in Bhainsa mandal earlier on Sunday.
