Woman ends life in Jawaharnagar; family alleges dowry harassment
A 22-year-old woman, wife of an Excise Constable, died by suicide at her residence in Jawaharnagar, Hyderabad, allegedly due to dowry harassment. Her family accused her husband and in-laws of persistent abuse, while police said the cause of death will be confirmed after the autopsy and investigation.

Hyderabad: A 22-year-old married woman died by suicide by hanging allegedly due to dowry harassment at her house in Shantinagar in Jawaharnagar on Saturday.
The victim, identified as Rekha, was staying with her husband Sai Kumar, an Excise Constable posted at the Nampally Excise Police Station.
Rekha’s family alleged that persistent dowry harassment by her husband and in-laws drove her to death. They further claimed that the incident was being projected as a case of suicide.
Jawaharnagar police are investigating the exact cause of death. Officials said it will be established based on the autopsy report and the findings of the investigation.
