Woman killed, man injured as container hits bike in Adilabad
A woman died and her husband was injured after a container hit their motorcycle near Gudihathnoor in Adilabad district. The victim was declared brought dead at RIMS-Adilabad. Police registered a hit-and-run case and began investigation
Adilabad: A woman was killed, while her husband sustained minor injuries when a container hit a motorcycle in which she was travelling on the outskirts of Gudihathnoor mandal centre on Saturday.
Gudihathnoor SI Srikanth said that Ruyana Begam, wife of Afsar Khan from Utnoor mandal centre, received critical injuries when the container dashed the two-wheeler. Ruyana was immediately shifted to RIMS-Adilabad, where doctors declared that she was brought dead. Afsar sustained minor injuries in the mishap. He was taking Ruyana to Adilabad to consult a doctor at the time of the incident.
Based on a complaint received from Afsar, a hit-and-run case was registered against Prempal from Uttar Pradesh, the driver of the container. Investigation was taken up.
