Woman stabbed by husband in Filmnagar over fidelity suspicions

A woman was allegedly stabbed by her husband at their residence in Hyderabad's Filmnagar area. Police said the accused, who frequently harassed his wife over suspicions and allegedly consumed alcohol, attacked her with a vegetable-cutting knife following an argument.

Hyderabad: A woman was allegedly stabbed by her husband with a kitchen knife on suspicion of her fidelity at their house in Filmnagar on Thursday.

According to police, the suspect, identified as Ganesh (27), a resident of Vinayak Nagar, had been frequently harassing his wife, Rani, over his suspicions and often created disturbances at home while under the influence of alcohol.

On Thursday too, Ganesh reportedly returned home drunk, picked an argument with his wife and attacked her with a vegetable-cutting knife during the altercation.

Following a complaint, the Filmnagar police registered a case against Ganesh and are investigating.
