Mancherial: A woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband after he suspected her fidelity in Nennal village on Wednesday.
Police said that Thota Sabitha (35) suffered profuse bleeding and died on the spot after being stabbed in her throat by Mallesh who reportedly suspected her fidelity. She was found in a pool of blood after being attacked by her husband when their children were not present at home.
Their son Thirumalesh discovered the body upon returning from school. He alerted their neighbours, who in turn informed local police about the incident. Police inspected the scene of the crime and gathered basic details by speaking to family members of the woman and her neighbours.
Mallesh was reportedly quarrelling with Sabitha suspecting that she was moving closely with other men from the village. Despite attempts by elders to resolve the differences, Mallesh did not mend behavior and nursed a grudge. A native of Achulapaur in Thandur mandal, Shabitha was married to Mallesh 17 years ago. They had a daughter and son.
Based on a complaint received from a family member of the woman, a murder case has been registered against Mallesh. Investigations have been taken up.
