Nizamabad: A woman, with the help of her children, is suspected to have killed her husband following a dispute over property late on Wednesday night at Bhirkoor mandal headquarters of Kamareddy district.

Naram Narayana and Shantamma, residents of Pochamma Colony in Bhirkoor, have a son and daughter. For the last few days, Pochamma and her son and daughter had been quarrelling with Narayana, demanding that the agriculture land and properties that he owns be registered on their names. Narayana, however, refused to concede to their demand.

The mother and children again picked up a quarrel on Wednesday night, and later, when Narayana was sleeping in the front yard of the house, some unidentified persons smashed his head with a boulder.

Villagers and Narayana’s relatives suspecti that Pochamma and the children murdered him, but they refuted the allegations.

Bhirkoor SI Kotta Rajesh visited the spot, registered a case and collected clues with the help of a dog squad. Further inquiry is on.
