Woman wins Sarpanch seat by single vote in Asifabad’s Parandholi village
Rathod Pushpalatha won the Parandholi sarpanch election in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district by a single vote, edging past her rival 102–101. Close finishes were also recorded in Nirmal and Adilabad districts as several candidates scraped through narrow margins

Adilabad: A woman candidate won panchayat election by a margin of a single vote at the border village of Parandholi in Kerameri mandal of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district on Thursday.
Officials declared Rathod Pushpalatha elected as Sarpanch of Parandholi with 102 votes, edging past her rival Dileep, who secured 101 votes. A total of 873 votes were cast in the village, with seven candidates in the fray. Pushpalatha said she would work to develop the village on multiple fronts.
In another close contest, Jadav Santhosh won by three votes from Gayidpalli village in Mamada mandal of Nirmal district. Nimmala Supriya defeated her opponent by five votes from Kamagiri village in Echoda mandal of Adilabad district. Several candidates in Mancherial district also cleared the line with narrow margins.
