Hyderabad: On the occasion of Doctors’ Day, medical diagnostic services provider Neuberg Diagnostics urged women doctors, who often balance multiple roles as healthcare professionals, caregivers, mothers, wives and daughters, to prioritise their own health and focus on preventive care.
Long working hours, demanding clinical schedules, emotional stress, patient responsibilities and home management can leave little room for regular self-care among women healthcare professionals. Despite having a strong understanding of preventive healthcare, many women doctors postpone routine blood tests or delay age-appropriate health screenings.
“Annual health check-ups, routine investigations, timely vaccinations and age-appropriate screenings can help identify risks early and enable proactive management. Regular screenings are essential not only to detect health concerns early, but also to ensure they can continue to lead healthy, fulfilling and productive lives,” said Dr Ankita Srivastava, Chief of Labs, Neuberg Diagnostics, Hyderabad.
Women doctors, by placing preventive health on the calendar, can reinforce an important message for patients and families alike, that healthcare begins with caring for oneself, Dr Ankita added.
