Women dominate TG ICET 2026 as Hyderabad candidates secure top ranks
Women outperformed men in TG ICET 2026, securing the top two ranks and recording a higher qualifying percentage. Anugu Aishwarya Reddy topped the examination, while over 91 per cent of the 51,146 candidates who appeared qualified for admissions

Hyderabad: Women not only outperformed men but also walked away with the top ranks in the Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test (TG ICET) 2026 results declared here on Friday.
Anugu Aishwarya Reddy of Hyderabad secured the top rank. She scored 165.68 marks. Another woman from Hyderabad, Koppoal Likhita, bagged the second rank with a score of 157.38, while Sree Charan Reddy Manne of Hyderabad secured the third rank.
The results, declared by Telangana Council of Higher Education Chairman Prof. V Balakista Reddy, along with Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda Vice-Chancellor Prof. Khaja Althaj Hussain and TG ICET 2026 Convener Prof. A Ravi, have been made available on the website https://icet.tgche.ac.in
As many as 27,793 women recorded a qualifying percentage of 91.62, while 23,353 men registered a qualifying percentage of 90.74. Overall, 51,146 candidates appeared for the examination and 91.22 per cent qualified.
According to Prof. Balakista Reddy, a total of 35,141 out of 40,601 MBA seats in 287 colleges were filled during the academic year 2025-26. Similarly, 9,360 seats were available in 80 MCA colleges, of which 5,420 were filled.
The seat approval process is still pending with regulatory bodies and the number of seats is expected to remain the same for the academic year, he added.
