Siddipet: Women from Varadarajapur village in Markook mandal staged a protest on Wednesday, expressing anger over the lack of drinking water supply for the past two months. Carrying empty pots, the women gathered at the village centre and raised slogans against the apathy of officials and the Congress government.
They said they had been forced to arrange private water tankers at their own expense due to the prolonged disruption. Despite repeated complaints, officials had failed to respond, the women alleged.
Warning that they would intensify their agitation if the issue was not resolved immediately, the protestors demanded that the government restore the drinking water supply without further delay.
