The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board has warned private tanker operators against using the Water Board logo without authorisation. Officials cautioned that such misuse could mislead the public and said tanker bookings should be made only through official HMWSSB channels.

While the number of tankers at the start of April was 613, with the increase in demand, the number grew to a fleet of 840. Along with tankers, more filling stations and filling points have also been added in the last few weeks.

Dana Kishore in a statement, however, assured that in the coming weeks, a total of 1200 trips will be fulfilled by 300 tankers every day.

With the demand for water tankers increasing this season, many officers find it challenging to ensure water supply to wild animals.

The Chief Secretary said 10 MGD of water has been supplied this year in addition to the water supplied in the same month last year.
