Worker killed as scaffolding collapses in Siddipet
The deceased was identified as Vadde Mallaiah (50) and another worker injured was Vadde Prabhakar
Siddipet: A worker died and another has sustained serious injuries when the scaffolding support collapsed while they were working on an overhead tank at Venkatraopet village in Thoguta Mandal on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Vadde Mallaiah (50) and the injured as Vadde Prabhakar. While these two victims were working on the overhead tank, which is being constructed in a double bedroom house colony in the village, the scaffolding came off.
According to locals, Mallaiah was working close to the under-construction overhead tank while Prabhakar was working on the tank when the supporting centering system came off and fell on Mallaiah. The death was instant for him as he sustained grievous injuries.
Prabhakar has slipped off the tank and sustained multiple injuries. The injured was rushed to a hospital. His condition is stated to be critical. Thoguta Police have registered a case.
