Workshop on Girl Empowerment Mission kicks off at NTPC
More than 50 girls registered for the five-day refresher course
PEDDAPALLI: A five-day-long winter workshop of Girl Empowerment Mission-2024 began in National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).
More than 50 girls registered their names for the workshop which was inaugurated by NTPC General Manager (O&M) Alok Kumar Tripathi on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the GM motivated the girl students to actively participate in this refresher course. He also shared that GEM was a flagship CSR programme of NTPC and it was making a great impact on society.
Deepthi Mahila Samithi vice president Jyotsana Tripathi, Bal Bhavan (DMS) In-charge Roopa Singha Roy, senior member of DMS Mallika, other members of DMS, parents of GEM girls, officers from HR were also present at the event.
On the occasion, study kits were also distributed to all the students.
