World Heritage Day celebrated at Pallavi Model School in Alwal
The top ten world heritage sites were explained through powerpoint presentations, pictures videos etc at the programme

Hyderabad: World Heritage Day is celebrated on April 18 all over the world, was celebrated at Pallavi Model School, Alwal by the students of grade IX and X, emphasising the importance of world heritage.
The United Nations marks April 18 as the International Day for Monuments and Sites. Hence, in many countries, it is also celebrated as World Heritage Day. The theme for this year is ‘Complex Pasts: Diverse Futures’.
The day began with a prayer, followed by Principal Sunir Nagi address. She stated that we need to put in collective efforts to preserve our prized heritage.
The top ten world heritage sites were explained through powerpoint presentations, pictures videos etc.. Also, the need for discontinuing further dilapidation to the heritage site was discussed. The day, thus, promoted cultural importance, while also highlighting the many impediments in doing so.
The objective of the assembly was to bring mindfulness about preserving the heritage, which does not include the heritage sites alone but also the cultural dance forms, the wildlife-flora and fauna. The day ended with a kahoot quiz, to illuminate the young minds to the need of the future.
