Hyderabad: The National Service Scheme Cell (NSS) of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) observed ‘World No Tobacco Day’ on Monday.
As part of the occasion, Prof. SM Rahmatullah, Vice Chancellor I/c administered the pledge to students and staff that they would not use any kind of tobacco products in life and also advise the same to their loved ones.
“Using tobacco causes lung damage and other diseases which makes life indigestible. Therefore, it is important to stay away from these things,” Prof. S M Rahmatullah said.
Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, NSS Coordinator arranged the virtual meeting. Prof. Abdul Wahid, Dean School of Technology; Dr. Mohd Yousuf Khan, Principal, Polytechnic Hyderabad were also present at the University conference hall for the meeting.
