Hyderabad: The Ladakh Marathon, the world’s highest AIMS-certified marathon, has strengthened its corporate support with seven partners as it enters its landmark 12th edition this September with record participation.

Scheduled from September 11 to 14, the marathon will bring together more than 6,600 runners from across India and 30 other countries, the largest field in its history, while continuing to attract significant business interest and reinforcing its position as a premier running event globally.

Ensuring this scale, crucial on-ground assistance will be provided by Administrative Supporters, the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh—particularly the Ladakh Police and the Health Department of Leh—the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, the Indian Air Force, the Indian Army, the Indian Army’s Fire & Fury Corps, the Border Roads Organisation, and 27 local communities. Their logistical support will see to a safe and seamless execution across Leh, Khardung La, and Nubra.

Building on this foundation, the corporate roster for 2025 further enhances the event’s prestige. Snickers joins as the Hunger Partner, while PUMA strengthens its role as the Apparel Partner, and Bisleri continues as the Hydration Partner. Enerzal will serve as the Energy Partner, Hotel Grand Dragon, Leh, as the Hospitality Partner, Accord Hospital as the Health Partner, and Bajaj Allianz as the Insurance Partner. Together, these partnerships highlight how the Ladakh Marathon has developed into both a world-class sporting challenge and a platform for impactful brand collaborations.

Speaking on the occasion, Chewang Motup Goba, Chairperson of High Altitude Sports Foundation, Founder and Organiser of the Ladakh Marathon, said, “What began in 2012 as Ladakh’s gift to the world has today become one of India’s premier races. ”

“The Ladakh Marathon has grown on the strength of its runners, its people, and the support of our partners, and it continues to showcase both endurance and resilience at the highest level. With each edition, we move closer to establishing it among the most distinctive marathons globally, while contributing to Ladakh’s identity on the international sporting stage,” he explained.

The 2025 edition will feature six races: the Silk Route Ultra (122 km, September 11), Khardung La Challenge (72 km, September 12), the “Run Ladakh for Fun” 5 km (September 13), and on September 14 the 11.2 km race, the Half Marathon (21 km), and the Full Marathon (42.195 km). Sustainability remains central to operations, with single-use plastics eliminated since 2019, keeping with the guiding motto *“Leave Only Footprints Behind.”*

Born in the aftermath of the 2010 flash floods and formally launched in 2012, the Ladakh Marathon has grown into one of India’s most celebrated long-distance races. Over the years, it has drawn thousands of participants from across the world, eager to test themselves against Ladakh’s thin air and high passes.
