Hyderabad: A Class 10 student died, allegedly by hanging, in his house at Bhudevi Nagar in Alwal in the early hours of Friday. He is suspected to have been depressed over his poor performance in studies, police said.
The boy, K. Arun (16), hanged himself from the ceiling fan in his bedroom on the first floor, when his parents were fast asleep in the adjacent room. They woke up in the morning and knocked on the door of his room. When there was no response from inside, they forcibly opened it and found Arun hanging. They immediately loosened the noose and tried to shift him to the nearby hospital, but he had died by then, officials said.
