Sangareddy: IT Minister KT Rama Rao said Woxsen University was equally competent with world-class western universities. The Minister, who visited Woxsen University located close to Kothur Patti Digwal in Kohir mandal, inaugurated four facilities — an ultra-modern library, financial lab, academic block and sports arena.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the university is breathtakingly beautiful and truly world-class. However, he said that he did not come to the campus with such expectations.
Impressed by management setting up a target of increasing the student strength from existing 1,200 to 15,000 with a sole aim to make one of the world-class institutes, Rao assured to extend them all possible support from the government. Suggesting the educational officials of the State government to help the management of Woxsen University in collaborating with some industries, he said that the German model of apprentice so that the students and industries both can benefit. He advised them to give credits to students and CSR credits to industries for the collaboration.
President and Chancellor Woxsen University Veena Pula said they have been among the best private universities in the country. He said that they were aiming to become the top 50 best varsities in the world. Education Minister P Sabita Indra Reddy, MP BB Patil, MLAs Chanti Kranthi Kiran, K Manik Rao, Zilla Parishad Chairperson K Manjusri, President and Chancellor of Woxsen Veen Pula, Chief Executive Officer Vishal Khurma, Dr Vice-chancellor Amit Bhadra and others were present on the occasion.
