Hyderabad: Minorities Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar on Wednesday asked officials concerned to make elaborate arrangements for the successful conduct of Christmas celebrations in LB stadium here. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will attend the celebrations.
Reviewing the arrangements to be made for the celebrations along with Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali and Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Eshwar said as many as 10,000 people were expected to take part in the celebrations.
Over 200 passes would be issued to 24 MLAs each from the city, he said, adding that new clothes would be distributed to poor people on the occasion. He said the quality of clothes had also improved this time. Invitations should be given to prominent persons from the community along with other dignitaries on time, Eshwar said, asking officials to make arrangements without any hiccups.
