Sangareddy: Finance and Health Minister T Harish Rao said Dr Vonteri Yadava Reddy, whom the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has fielded as their candidate for MLC-Medak Local bodies constituency, is a service-oriented person as a doctor and a politician.

Addressing the elected representatives of Local Bodies of TRS in Patancheru on Friday, the Finance Minister called upon the local bodies’ representatives to elect Dr Yadava Reddy as MLC since he had done a lot of service to the TRS party and also for the people of the Gajwel area during the past four decades.

Saying that Yadava Reddy had joined the TRS party ahead of 2014 elections following the call of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the Finance Minister said that he had worked hard for strengthening the party’s base and has been leading the multiple election campaigns since then. Though he did not get any positions during the past seven years, the Senior TRS leader said Dr Reddy never complained and stayed with the party only.

Assuring that TRS MLC V Bhupal Reddy, who was the sitting MLC from the constituency but was not contesting this time around, will get the appropriate position in the party, the Minister said that the party leadership will offer to deserve positions to the people who have been working for the party.

Following the directions of party leadership, Rao called upon all the elected representatives to vote for Dr Reddy to ensure the party’s victory in the MLC elections. Since the party was having 777 votes out of 1,027 votes in the MLC constituency, he, however, said that the election is going to be a cakewalk for the ruling party.

Since there would be priority voting, Harish Rao said that they would train the local bodies’ representatives on the MLC election process.

MP Medak Kotha Prabhakar Reddy observed that it was time to show dedication to ensure 100 percent of the party votes are polled for the TRS candidates in the election without any mistakes. MLA Patancheru Gudem Mahipal Reddy, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Prabhakar and others were present.
