Hyderabad: On the occasion of World IBD Day, Yashoda Group of Hospitals inaugurated its Center of Excellence for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) at its Somajiguda facility.

The exclusive IBD Center is a first-of-its-kind integrated facility in the region, aimed at being a one-stop solution for IBD patients from across India. “With the rapid rise in IBD cases, especially among young adults, there is a compelling need to provide holistic care. This center will offer expert consultations, dietary and psychological counseling, advanced diagnostics, endoscopic services, and biologic infusion therapies under one roof,” said Dr Pavan Gorukanti, Director, Yashoda Hospitals.

Senior IBD specialists highlighted the growing burden of IBD, namely Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, in India. Dr Kiran Peddi, a senior specialist who is leading the IBD Centre initiative, elaborated on how the center brings together top-tier medical and surgical consultants to manage complex IBD cases.

Senior gastroenterologists Dr Sarada Pasangulapati, Dr Chandrashekhar Reddy, Dr Sreera and others were present during the launch.
