Young dancer Sheetal Rapole earns praise at Kuchipudi Arangetram
Kuchipudi dancer Sheetal Rapole made a successful debut at Ravindra Bharati, earning praise from academicians and dance experts. A disciple of Guru Rohini Kandala, she impressed audiences with a poised and mature performance despite it being her first major recital.

Hyderabad: Sheetal Rapole, a disciple of Guru Rohini Kandala, made her Kuchipudi debut at Ravindra Bharati under the aegis of Kuchipudi School in Lasyanga. Working as a tax consultant in Deloitte and learning traditional classical Kuchipudi dance, Sheetal danced brilliantly in her debut and received compliments.
Dr Veludanda Nithyananda Rao, Vice Chancellor of Telugu University, said Sheetal’s performance was not like a debutante, but she performed with great maturity and skill. Acharya Dr Bhagavathula Sethuram congratulated Sheetal’s guru, Rohini Kandala.
Osmania University Sanskrit Academy Director Prof Madhusudan Penna, Deputy Director Dr K Varalakshmi, eminent dance teachers Dr Anupama Kailash, Dr S P Bharti and others were also present.
While Mantha Srinivas contributed vocals, instrumental support was provided by S Nageswara Rao (Mridangam), K Anil Kumar (Violin), K Uma Venkateswarlu (Flute) and Dr R Srikanth with special effects.
