Young woman murdered by lover in Sangareddy; assailant attempts suicide

A youth in Sangareddy slit his lover’s throat and then attempted suicide using the same knife. The victim, a 20-year-old student, died while the accused was hospitalized with serious injuries

Sangareddy: A youngster murdered his lover by slitting her throat before attempting to kill himself with the same knife at Balaji Nagar under Ramachandrapuram police station limits on Monday.

The victim, identified as Ramya (20), was a second-year student at a local college.

The accused, Akula Praveen, inflicted serious injuries on himself and was found bleeding profusely. He was rushed to the government hospital in Patancheru for treatment.
