Youth dies, another injured in road accident at Kodad

According to the police, the road accident occurred when an unidentified vehicle hit the auto-rickshaw goods carrier in which the two youth were travelling.

Suryapet: One person died and another injured in a road accident on National Highway No. 65 near Kodad in Suraypet district on Friday. The deceased was identified as K Anvesh (27). Another youth Rahul was seriously injured in the mishap. The victims belong to Telugupally village of Akkinapally mandal in Siddipet district.

According to the police, the road accident occurred when an unidentified vehicle hit the auto-rickshaw goods carrier in which the two youth were travelling. The incident took place in early hours of Friday when the youngsters were going to Vijayawada from Hyderabad in their auto-rickshaw goods carrier.


The Kodad police rushed to the spot and shifted the body of Anvesh to the government hospital for postmortem. The injured person was also shifted to a local hospital for treatment. The police filed a case and making efforts to identify the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run incident.
