Sangareddy: A 22-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging himself at his rented house at Ambedkar Colony in Patancheru mandal late on Thursday night.
The victim was identified as Jakkula Raju, son of Jakkula Krishnaiah, a native of Kadpal in Sirgapur mandal. Krishnaiah and his wife, two sons – Raju and Yadaiah – have been staying in Ambedkar Colony for the past few years. Krishnaiah borrowed money from several sources for the marriage of his only daughter.
Raju, who was suffering from stomach-ache, was also reportedly depressed over the rising debts. In a state of depression, Raju allegedly hanged himself from the ceiliing fan. ASI Mallaiah registered a case.
