Youth injured in electric shock when setting up Ganesh pandal in Hyderabad’s Amberpet

A youth was seriously injured after being electrocuted while setting up a Ganesh pandal in Amberpet late Monday night. Ram Charan, who came in contact with live wires, was rushed to a private hospital. His condition is reported stable.

Hyderabad: A youth was seriously injured after being electrocuted reportedly when setting up a Ganesh pandal in Amberpet on Monday midnight.

As per available information, some local youths of Bagh Amberpet division install Ganesh idols every year. As part of this, they were setting up the pandal together, when the incident occurred.


At that time, a youth named Ram Charan lifted the electric wires above with a stick. He suffered an electric shock and fell down. He suffered serious injuries on his body.

He was immediately taken to a private hospital in Amberpet, where he is being treated. His condition is said to be stable. Amberpet police are investigating.
