Medak: YSR Telangana Party president YS Sharmila on Saturday called on the family of Ravi, a farmer who committed suicide on Friday, at Boguda Bupathipur in Havelighanpur Mandal to console them.
Sharmila demanded that the State government pay Rs one crore ex-gratia to Ravi’s family to support them. When Sharmila attempted to stage a protest at Ravi’s house, police took her into custody.
BJP MLA from Huzurabad Etala Rajendar and Dubbak MLA M Raghunandan Rao also visited the family members, while TPCC president A Revanth Reddy spoke to the victim’s family over phone and assured them of support.
