Kadapa: Sarpanch of Komanutala village of Lingala mandal in the district was murdered by his political rivals on Tuesday.
The sarpanch, Muneppa, 50, was returning from Pulivendula on his two-wheeler after attending training classes for sarpanches when he was ambushed and hacked to death.
Muneppa had won by a majority of 150 votes in the sarpanch elections held recently.
