Zaheerabad murder: Trio kills youth over black magic suspicion
Zaheerabad police solved the murder of a 23-year-old youth who was killed by three men over suspicions of black magic. The accused surrendered and confessed to the brutal crime
Sangareddy: Zaheerabad police have cracked the murder case of 23-year-old Mohammad Tajuddin, whose body was found in an agricultural well on Sunday. The police said the youth was killed by three men who suspected him of practicing Kala Jadhu (black magic) against them.
Speaking to reporters in Zaheerabad on Monday, DSP Saida Nayak said the accused—Mohd Hasan Qureshi, Sheikh Mukharam, and Md Akbar—confessed to the crime after surrendering before the police.
According to police, the trio believed that Tajuddin was performing Kala Jadhu on every full moon and new moon day, allegedly affecting their lives. Despite multiple warnings, the accused claimed, Tajuddin continued his practices.
On Saturday, the three lured Tajuddin to a nearby sugarcane field, where they beat him for nearly half an hour before hacking him to death. Later that night, they dumped his body in a well.
After the victim’s family filed a missing complaint, police began an investigation. The case was swiftly resolved when the accused surrendered and confessed to the murder.
