Sangareddy: Secretary at Department of Science and Technology, Dr Srivari Chandrashekar has inaugurated 1.5 lakh square feet area Technology Research Park (TRP) at Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad (IIT-H) campus in Sangareddy district
The TRP aims to provide infrastructure and facilities for industry partners to co-locate Research and Technology Development centers at the IIT-H Campus. Funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India to the tune of Rs 75 Crores towards capital expenses, The 1.5 Lakhs sq. ft. building will feature facilities on par with world standards. The TRP at IIT-H is administered as an independent Section and Company, founded, promoted and hosted by IIT-H and industry professionals to bring the industry close to IIT-H so that we can develop innovative technologies through collaboration.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Srivari Chandrasekhar, “Let me assure that the is committed to technological development as presented Financial Minister during Budget, 2022. Hyderabad is a very vibrant entrepreneur ecosystem. These TRP (Technology Research Park) and TIP (Technology Incubation Park) buildings conceived by Director of IIT-H Prof BS Murty are testimonial facilities for those who can’t work at home. I urge our youth to go from Job-seeker to Job-giver and all premier institutes to work more non-software technologies”.
Congratulating IIT-H on this accomplishment, Chief Representative, JICA (Japan and International Cooperation Agency) SAITO Mitsunori, said, “It is an honor to be part of TRP’s inauguration on the 70th anniversary of India-Japan Friendly Relations. For more than a decade, JICA has been collaborating with IIT-H for Human Resources, Research projects and on several other initiatives. I am delighted to know Suzuki Motor Corporation is the first occupant of this facility.”
Speaking on this occasion, Minister of Economic and Development, Embassy of Japan, Shingo Miyamoto, said, It is a great occasion to celebrate the relation of Education Technology Industry and Innovation on the 70th anniversary of the Indian-Japan collaboration. Miyamoto said he is amazed to see IIT-H alumni making a mark with their technological expertise and getting deep into the Japanese culture and tradition.
Board of Governors IIT-H BVR Mohan Reddy, Director Prof BS Murty, Faculty in charge at Technology Park Prof Ch Subrahmanyam and others were present.
