102 sailors to compete for top honours in Hyderabad Sailing Week
The races will be held in four categories – Laser 4.7, Laser Radial (men), Radial (women) and Laser Standard.
Hyderabad: A total of 102 sailors will be seen in action when the Hyderabad Sailing Week races kick off from Sunday, at the Hussain Sagar Lake.
The races will be held in four categories – Laser 4.7, Laser Radial (men), Radial (women) and Laser Standard. With 46 entries, Laser 4.7 will see the biggest fleet while Laser Standard has 27 sailors. 25 sailors in Laser Radial and 5 sailors in Laser Radial Women’s categories will by vying for the honours.
A total of 12 clubs have sent their sailors. At 10 years, Aditya Joshi is the youngster sailor in the event in Laser 4.7 category while 70-year-old Murali Kanuri is the oldest sailor in Laser Radial event.
