Hyderabad: The Irrigation department officials opened 11 gates of Nizam Sagar Dam and released 85,500 cusecs of water downstream.
The dam is getting inflows of 62,500 cusecs from the upstream catchment areas. The water released from the dam will reach Sriram Sagar Project.
Presently, the water storage level in the dam was 14.978 TMC against its gross storage capacity of 17.802 TMC.
