13-year-old boy dies of electrocution in Nizamabad

Villagers alleged that this incident occurred due to the negligence of the electricity staff

Nizamabad: A boy was electrocuted and another sustained injuries at Hasakotturu village of Nizamabad district.

Mamidi Mahodaya (13) and Udaya Simha (12) were friends and residents of Hasakotturu. They were playing near a temple on Tuesday afternoon. The boys came in touch with electric wires that were damaged due to heavy winds. Both sustained severe injuries and were shifted to a private nursing home in Metpally. Mahodaya died in the hospital.

Villagers alleged that this incident occurred due to the negligence of the electricity staff. Kammarpally police registered a case and took up probe.
