20 surgeries in 24 hours: Doctors set new surgical record in Vemulawada
Doctors at Vemulawada Regional Government Hospital achieved a milestone by conducting 20 surgeries in a single day, including caesarean sections, natural births, and specialised procedures.

Rajanna-Sircilla: In a commendable feat for a government hospital, doctors at the Vemulawada Regional Government Hospital performed 20 surgeries within just 24 hours, setting a new record for the hospital.
Of the total procedures, nine were caesarean sections, four normal deliveries, four eye surgeries, two general surgeries, and one orthopaedic operation.
Hospital observer Dr Penchalaiah lauded the medical team for their exceptional coordination and dedication.
The team included gynaecologists Dr Sandhya, Dr Soni, and Dr Madhavi; paediatricians Dr Subashini, Dr Chary, and Dr Ramana; orthopaedic surgeon Dr Anil; anaesthesia specialists Dr Rajasree, Dr Thirupathi, and Dr Ravinder; and eye specialist Dr Ratnamala. Nursing officers Jhansi, Jyothi, Anasuya, Blossom among others also played a key role in the operations.
