Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy handed over the house pattas to 80 beneficiaries on Saturday. The double bedroom houses were built at Mallemadugu village of Khammam urban mandal by ITDA, Bhadrachalam at a cost of Rs 43.56 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister informed that four new welfare programmes would be implemented for the poor from January 26. He said 80 double bedroom houses were being provided to the poor as a Sankranti gift.

Road and park construction works would be launched in the coming days and steps would also be taken to solve the drainage problem at the double bedroom house complex, he said.
District Collector Muzammil Khan informed that the Minister has sanctioned Rs 2 crore for constructing roads in the house complex at Mallemadugu. An Anganwadi centre would also be set up before January 20 as per the request of the people, he added.
