30 people injured in stray dog attack in Nirmal’s Bhainsa
Around 30 people were injured in stray dog attacks across several colonies in Bhainsa town on Monday. Residents raised concerns over frequent incidents and sought urgent intervention, while officials assured treatment and preventive measures.
Nirmal: About 30 people sustained injuries when stray dogs attacked them at different colonies in Bhainsa town on Monday.
According to locals, at least 25 men, women and children received injuries when the dogs bit them in Ganesh Nagar, Madina Colony, Kadda Hotel Area, Bus Stand and other parts of the town. They were admitted to an area hospital in Bhainsa. Some of them were undergoing treatment, a few of them were discharged by evening.
Locals expressed concern over the growing stray dog menace. They regretted that the dogs were attacking residents at regular intervals. They stated that they were hesitating to move in the streets for buying groceries and many other day-to-day tasks. They urged the officials to address the challenge at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Bhainsa Sub-Collector Ajmeera Sanketh consoled the injured persons and instructed officials to provide better treatment. He asked the officials of Bhainsa municipality to take steps to prevent the menace.
