A shocking case of mass dog killings has emerged from Kishtapur village in Jannaram mandal, Mancherial district, where around 100 dogs, both strays and pets, were allegedly poisoned and buried. Police have registered a case against the village Sarpanch Naresh and the panchayat secretary.

A stray dog attack in Vemulawada town, Rajanna-Sircilla district, left around 25 people injured, including devotees visiting the temple. The victims were admitted to the local Area Hospital.

On Friday, the Commissioner inspected the Fatullaguda animal sanctuary, dog-catching vehicles, the operation theatre, and the pet dog crematorium. He discussed daily targets with veterinary officers, asking about the number of dogs caught and sterilizations completed each day. Ilambarithi emphasized that field-level officials should review progress daily and work toward capturing and sterilizing more dogs.

A group of dogs attacked the boy while he was playing in front of his house. His mother, Sirisha, had asked him to fetch a milk packet from a nearby shop. On Sunday, a group of children, hailing from various colonies under Kompally municipality, did just that by visiting Petbasheerabad police station to lodge a complaint against Kompally municipal officials for miserably failing to control the menace of stray dogs in the localities.

The dog, which came from Jammikunta, attacked the people on the way, was later killed by municipal workers. 

The stray dog in question had attacked about 14 persons including Chigurumamidi Tahsildhar on June 14.
