Hyderabad: As many as 36 headmasters of ZP and MPP schools in the Jogulamba Gadwal district were issued show-cause notices for recording low student attendance in the Facial Recognition System (FRS) application.
As per the show-cause notice issued on Friday, 36 schools recorded less than 40 per cent attendance via the FRS, while five schools did not record attendance at all up to July 10.
Citing low attendance numbers, District Educational Officer Mohd Abdul Ghani said it was an irresponsible attitude on the part of the headmasters towards performing the legitimate duties of capturing student attendance in DSE-FRS. Marking student attendance was the primary work of every headmaster/class teacher, he said.
Ghani instructed headmasters to submit their explanation as to why disciplinary action should not be taken against them within three working days.
Disciplinary action may be initiated as per CCA Rules if headmasters fail to respond to the show-cause notices, he added.
