Sangareddy: GITAM Deemed to be University Hyderabad recently has launched the placement drive for the 2021-2022 academic year. Despite the recent economic recession and pandemic, a steady number of placement recruiters participated in the recruitment driver and offered placements, ensuring a great start to their professional journey. A total of 550 offers were made, with the highest package offered at 8.5 lakhs per annum. The average package scaled up to 4.50 lakhs per annum this year.
A total of 550 students received offers through the campus drive from a myriad of fields, including B Tech (514), MBA (13), M Tech (6), MSc Data Science (2) from several top-notch corporates, including Wipro Elite (124), TCS Ninja (94), Prodapt (84), Accenture (48), Accenture (Adv) 12, Virtusa (43), Mindtree (31), Musigma (25), ENHisecure (13), Deloitte (13), Tek Systems (10), Birlasoft (9), Nineleaps (6), Optum (5), TCS Digital (3) and Hitachi Vantara (1).
Despite the pandemic and students continued the learning from their homes, GITAM Hyderabad attracted some of the most coveted recruiters in the country, including Musigma offering a package of (30 packages for four years), Tiger Analytics (8.50 LPA), Accolite (8.00 LPA), Deloitte (7.93 LPA), Optum (7.90 LPA), Keka (7.50) LPA, TCS Digital (7.00 LPA). Meanwhile: many other offers were under process from companies like Amazon (18 LPA), Pegasystems (14 LPA), South India Bank (12 LPA), Byjus (10 LPA), LIDO (10 LPA), Federal Bank (10 LPA).
Besides academics and extracurricular efforts, such as training sessions, hands-on workshops, guest faculty lectures initiated by the GITAM Career Guidance Cell (GCGC), helped get the students ready for placements this year. As a result, at the beginning of the placement session in GITAM students were placed in reputed companies with an average package of 4.50 LPA.
Prof. N.Siva Prasad, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and DVVSR Varma, Resident Director, congratulated the students for their achievement. Dr Nathi Venu Kumar, Director, GCGC, said, “we have been consistently meeting the industry expectations by providing well-groomed professionals, equipped with technical, interpersonal skills to match up to the aspirations of the corporates and will continue to do so”.
