611 booked in Hyderabad, Cyberabad drunk driving drives
Hyderabad Traffic Police booked 415 persons, while Cyberabad Police apprehended 196 during weekend drunk driving checks. Several offenders recorded high blood alcohol levels. All accused will have to appear before court as part of the enforcement drive.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad traffic police, during the weekend, conducted drunken driving checks in the city on Saturday, caught 415 persons and booked cases against them.
Among those caught are 341 two-wheeler riders, 27 three-wheeler drivers and 47 four-wheeler drivers.
The BAC level of 11 persons was found to be above 300 mg/100 ml. The traffic police officials said that all those caught will have to appear before the court.
Meanwhile, the Cyberabad police caught 196 persons during the special drive to curb drunk driving on Saturday.
Among those caught are 140 two-wheelers, 13 three-wheelers, 41 four-wheelers and two heavy vehicle drivers. Among them, 13 persons recorded a BAC level above 301 mg/100 ml. Cases are booked against them.
