65-year-old farmer electrocuted in Sircilla
A 65-year-old farmer died after being electrocuted while operating an agricultural pumpset starter at Kistampet in Chandurthi mandal, Rajanna-Sircilla district. Police said Lingam collapsed after receiving the shock.

Rajanna-Sircilla: A farmer, Ambiri Lingam, 65, died after being electrocuted at Kistampet in Chandurthi mandal on Sunday.
According to police, Lingam suffered an electric shock while operating an agricultural pumpset starter and collapsed. When he did not return home in the evening, his son, Purnachander, went to the fields and found him unconscious near the starter.
With the help of other farmers, he tried to shift Lingam to the Vemulawada area hospital, but he died on the way. Based on a complaint lodged by Purnachander, police registered a case and began an investigation.
Woman farmer dies of snake bite in Peddapalli
Peddapalli: A woman farmer, Sudati Rama, died of a snake bite in Kalvasrirampur mandal on Sunday.
According to villagers, although Rama’s paddy crop had been harvested using a harvester, she was removing the leftover paddy stems with a sickle.
When the sickle touched a snake hiding in the harvested paddy heaps, it bit her. Family members shifted her to the mandal headquarters hospital, where she was declared dead.
She is survived by her husband Satyanarayana Rao and son Kurunakar Rao.
