A woman and her mentally challenged daughter went missing from Mirzampet village in Kalvasrirampur mandal, Peddapalli district. The disappearance reportedly followed a heated argument between the woman and her husband, who locked himself inside their house with a pesticide bottle.
Two youngsters lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Kalvasrirampur mandal, Peddapalli district, on Thursday night. The collision occurred when motorcycles ridden by the deceased persons crashed into each other at the Tharupalli–Chinnarathupalli crossroads.
A 65-year-old farmer died after being electrocuted while operating an agricultural pumpset starter at Kistampet in Chandurthi mandal, Rajanna-Sircilla district. Police said Lingam collapsed after receiving the shock.
Traffic on the Kalvasrirampur-Sultanabad main road came to a standstill for a while as people including youths, farmers and others participated in the protest in a big way irrespective of political affiliations.
Police, who have launched an investigation into the incident, said the attackers were believed to have carried out a recce for three days before the attack.
