Hyderabad: Seven persons including six who purchased educational certificates of a university in Bhopal illegally were caught by the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (East) on Monday.

Those caught were identified as PK Veeranna Swamy (62) who runs VS Global Educational Services at Chaderghat; K Sai Gowtham, Tummala Sai Teja and Bachu Venkata Sai Suman Rohit, all three students; C Ritesh Reddy, Manna Wilfred and Kosimetti Surya Teja.

“Veeranna Swamy with the help of a few professors of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan University in Bhopal arranged backdated degree certificates of various courses to students. For each certificate, he collected between Rs.2 lakh to Rs.2.50 lakh,” DCP (Task Force) P Radha Kishan Rao said.

Veeranna Swamy had arranged certificates to around 50 students.
