ACB arrests Assistant Engineer for taking bribe in Rajendranagar

An Assistant Engineer at Gandhamguda Sub-Station in Rajendranagar, was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau for accepting a Rs 30,000 bribe related to a transformer installation contract. He was produced before the special ACB court and remanded to judicial custody.

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials nabbed Amar Singh, an Assistant Engineer of Gandhamguda Sub-Station under Himayath Sagar section in Rajendranagar for demanding and accepting a bribe on Saturday.

ACB officials said Amar Singh demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 30,000 from the complainant for the installation of a new electric transformer at an apartment, which was taken up as a contract by the complainant.
