ACB arrests Fort Warangal tahsildar in disproportionate assets case
The Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested Fort Warangal tahsildar Bandi Nageswara Rao in a disproportionate assets case after seizing properties, gold, and land documents worth Rs.5.02 crore during searches at seven locations. Officials said the market value could be much higher

Warangal: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a disproportionate assets case against Fort Warangal tahsildar, Bandi Nageswara Rao.
ACB officials carried out searches at seven locations, including his residences and those of his family members, on Friday. They unearthed assets worth Rs.5.02 crore, which included gold ornaments valued at Rs.23.84 lakh and wristwatches worth Rs.3.28 lakh.
During the raids, officials also found real estate properties worth Rs.1.15 crore and documents relating to 17.10 acres of agricultural land, estimated at Rs.1.42 crore. Verification of additional assets is still underway.
Officials stated that the market value of the assets could be significantly higher than the government valuation. Nageswara Rao was arrested and will be produced before the special judge for SPE and ACB cases, the official release added.
