ACB books two TGFDC officials in Rs 3.51 lakh bribe case
In its first trap of 2026, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) booked two officials of the Telangana Forest Development Corporation Limited (TGFDC) and a private individual in Kothagudem. The divisional manager, Thati Sravani, allegedly demanded Rs 3.51 lakh for approving bills related to eucalyptus cutting.

Kothagudem: In a maiden trap this year 2026, the officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) have booked two officials of Telangana Forest Development Corporation Limited (TGFDC) and a private person in a bribe case here on Saturday.
According to ACB Khammam range DSP, Y Ramesh the TGFDC divisional manager, Thati Sravani demanded a sum of Rs 3.51 lakh as bribe for the approval of the complainants’ bills relating to the cutting of approximately 3,900 tonnes of eucalyptus trees at a plantation.
The corporation’s plantation manager, Thadi Rajendra Kumar of Kothagudem forest sub-division and a private person Chennam Gopala Krishna were caught red-handed while accepting the bribe at Gopala Krishna’s residence on behalf of Sravani.
The money was received by another private person, Jogu Chenna Rao, under the directions of Rajendra Kumar and Gopala Krishna.
TGFDC divisional manager, Sravani was absconding while Rajendra Kumar and Gopala Krishna were arrested by the ACB officials. The case is under investigation, the DSP said.
