Hyderabad: The Anti Corruption Bureau conducted raids at the District Civil Supplies Office in Kamareddy and carried out surprise checks at the Assistant Labour Office in Kodad on Saturday.
During the raid at the Civil Supplies office, the ACB officials noticed several lapses. They found that despite a major shortfall, the District Civil Supplies Officer, District Manager and Deputy Tahsildars in Kamareddy had failed to initiate action against defaulting rice millers, resulting in substantial loss to the government.
The ACB observed that since September 2025, the District Civil Supplies Officer and the District Manager of the Civil Supplies Corporation in Kamareddy had not conducted inspections at MLS points or rice mills. One staff member, working as a data entry operator in the District Civil Supplies Office, was found to be involved in suspicious transactions, which are now under probe, according to an ACB release.
Similarly, during the surprise check at the Assistant Labour Office in Kodad, the ACB officials noticed the unauthorised absence of Junior Assistant K Tulasiram. The officials also found that 430 applications were kept pending in the office without issuing any intimation to the applicants or beneficiaries.
Improper maintenance of records and applications was also observed. One application was found to be suspicious in connection with a Board-approved natural death claim of a deceased worker pertaining to 2024.
āA report will be submitted to the government recommending necessary action against the concerned officials,ā the release said.
