ACB raids TGTRANSCO deputy engineer’s properties in disproportionate assets case

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids at the residences and properties linked to TGTRANSCO Deputy Engineer (DE) Mutyam Venkataramana in

Hyderabad and several other locations across the State.
The searches were launched following allegations that the official had amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to information available, eight ACB teams carried out coordinated searches at around 15 locations, including the residences of the officer and his relatives. The raids were aimed at verifying the allegations and identifying movable and immovable assets allegedly acquired through illicit means.

The searches are continuing, with ACB officials examining property documents, financial records and other relevant materials.

Sources indicated that important details regarding the officer’s assets are likely to emerge as the investigation progresses.

The ACB is expected to disclose the value of the assets detected and further details after completing the ongoing searches and preparing a comprehensive report.
