The Anti-Corruption Bureau conducted simultaneous raids at properties linked to TGTRANSCO Deputy Engineer Mutyam Venkataramana across Telangana over allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. Officials are examining financial records and property documents as the investigation continues.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested Peddapalli mandal surveyor Paindla Sunil and a private individual, K. Rajender Reddy, for allegedly demanding and accepting a Rs 10,000 bribe to provide a survey panchanama copy of land. The money was allegedly transferred to Rajender’s account
Of the 17 cases registered, 15 cases are trap cases while two are Disproportionate Assets cases. A total of 23 officials including two outsourcing employees were arrested in the cases. The ACB seized Rs 7.60 lakh cash in the trap cases.
Four officials have been arrested, and the ACB is seeking custody of two senior officials from the veterinary department. The investigation highlights corruption and the need for transparency in rural livelihood initiatives.
