ACB traps Assistant City Planner of Jagtial municipality
According to ACB police, a government doctor in Metpalli, Dr Bathula Ramaiah approached Jagitial municipal officials for permission to construct an apartment in Jagitial.
Jagtial: Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths trapped Municipal Assistant City Planner, his subordinate and a private engineer for demanding bribe from a doctor.
According to ACB police, a government doctor in Metpalli, Dr Bathula Ramaiah approached Jagitial municipal officials for permission to construct an apartment in Jagitial.
Pittala Balananda Swamy, Assistant City Planner, Jagitial municipality, demanded Rs 1 lakh bribe from Ramaiah to process the file pertaining to permission for construction of apartment from RDD office, Warangal. He finally settled at Rs 95,000, but Ramaiah, who was not willing to pay the bribe, approached ACB officials, who hatched a plan and trapped Assistant Planner and his attender, Konderi Ramulu. Based on the instruction of Balananda swamy, Ramulu accepted the bribe from the complainer.
Police also arrested private civil engineer, Gadasu Nagaraju, who abetted the commission of offence by the Assistant City Planner.
